Why a rooftop after ROUGE works

ROUGE runs about 90 minutes and puts you back on the Strip with energy still in the tank and no need to commit to a full nightclub night. A rooftop bar is the right register: still a scene, still a view, but a seat and a cocktail instead of a cover charge and a table minimum. It is also the easiest plan to make on the spot, most don't take reservations for the bar itself.

Closest to The STRAT

The STRAT has its own answer built in: the SkyPod and Top of the World sit at the top of the same tower as the theater, so there is no rideshare at all, just an elevator. Best views on the Strip

Skyfall Lounge at Delano sits on the 64th floor with some of the highest unobstructed Strip views south of The STRAT, cocktails run $18 to $25, no cover. It is a short rideshare from The STRAT and pairs well with a later dinner. Voo Doo Rooftop at Rio, on the north side of the Strip, has open-air seating and a firepit-lounge feel with skyline views back toward downtown.

Best for downtown energy

Circa's Legacy Club, 60th floor, offers panoramic views of the entire valley, Strip and mountains both, and is widely considered the single best view in the city to drink with. It's a bit further from The STRAT than the Delano or Rio options, worth it if downtown Fremont Street is already part of the night.

Best for a lower-key drink

Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas overlooks the Bellagio Fountains and works well for a more casual, sports-bar-with-a-view kind of stop, no formal dress code, good for a group that doesn't want the lounge scene.

Planning the night around ROUGE

ROUGE performs Tuesday through Sunday, one show nightly at 9:00 PM (holiday schedule may vary), so a 9:00 curtain and a 10:30 finish leaves the rest of the night wide open. Book the show first, from $46, and decide the rooftop once you're actually walking out, most don't need advance reservations for bar seating.
